Brenda was born and raised in South Dakota. She attended the University of South Dakota as a studio artist studying with Oscar Howe, Native American Artist. Brenda concentrated on painting and sculpture while earning her way by accepting portrait commissions. Brenda graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, concentrating on drawing, printmaking, clay sculpture and photography.
Brenda has maintained painting and sculpture studios in DeLand, Florida for the past ten years where she creates, and teaches. Brenda accepts commissions and welcomes your inquiries.
ARTIST STATEMENT: My paintings and sculpture depict the expression of my intuitive sense of form, color, light, and movement in relationship to healing energy. It is my way of communicating our connection to the universe, our oneness with all.
